Brie is a type of cheese and Mac stands for..you guessed it…macaron! Brie + Mac Confections, is owned by Ashley Huren-Johnson, a self-taught baker that began making macarons in 2019.

“I have always LOVED Macarons, and really fell in love after tasting authentic macarons during a trip to Paris. I have always dreamed of making them on my own and what began as a passionate hobby, turned into a business in 2020,” says Huren-Johnson. She named the company “Brie + Mac” after her son and daughter, known by everyone as “Mack” and “Cheese” and what’s better than Mac + Cheese!

Macarons are a French dessert with Italian origins. They are known in the baking world, as one of the most challenging desserts to make and are a true work of art!
